Good news on internet freedom of speech… Obama admin goes on record opposing SOPA as currently written

Those who support freedom of speech on the internet have qualified reason to cautiously rejoice in a statement signed by 3 top Obama officials appearing to offer a firm commitment that the Obama administration won’t be drawn into support for the so-called Stop Online Piracy Act, which online freedom advocates have called draconian, an assault on the constitution and free enterprise, and crony legislation — largely drafted by Big IP lobbyists and lawyers and fronted by a bipartisan consortium of corporate lapdogs in the House and Senate.
